　　Step 1 : Revision

　　1.Check the homework exercises.

　　2.Get some Ss to say something about the USA.

　　Step 2 : Listening

　　Listen to the tape twice and let the Ss discuss their answers in pairs. Then check the answers with the whole class.

　　Step 3 : Word study

　　Get the Ss to do this exercise individually, then check the answers.

　　Step 4 : Writing

　　Get the Ss to work through this exercise in pairs, then check the answers at the end.

　　Step 5 : Writing

　　Help the Ss write this letter by making a plan with the whole class first. Then let them practise orally in groups of four. Finally get them to write their letters.

　　Step 6 Homework

　　Finish off the Workbook exercises.

　　Revise this unit.
